Abstract: The essay has made the critical analysis of ’escaping from literature’, a common phenomenon in recent literary realm, and has pointed out the duality of the general postmodern literature: co-existence of literature’s end and literariness’ rule, with the former covering the latter. And more, the article has analyzed meanings of literature’s end in artistic and cultural taxology under post-modern conditions and focused on the establishment and embodiment of literariness’ rule in thought and scholarism, consumption society, media information and public shows. Besides, the author in this article has suggested that to reconstruct the object of literary study is the key to overcoming crisis in literary study in the social shift.
近年来,文学研究领域出现了一种突出而普遍的现象:逃离文学。曾经风光无限而被人追逐的文学成了人们避之不及的弃儿。在今天,研究文学几乎等于不识时务。于是,各种"转向"迭起,不少文学研究者纷纷转向社会学、政治学、宗教学和文化研究,不少文学专业的硕士博士论文也耻于谈文学,甚至出版社的编辑见到文学研究的选题就头疼。"逃离文学"愈演愈烈,"文学研究"的合法性已受到根本威胁。
面对这一"逃离",我很困惑。对那些见风使舵、投机取巧、莫名跟随、趋炎附势的逃离者你可以不屑,但对那些严肃认真、慎思而行的转向者你不得不正视。于是有问:严肃的学者何以要逃离文学?如此之"逃离"意味着什么?拒绝逃离又能如何?
